Reflective Learning

A few sessions ago we looked at reflective learning, we were asked to read document on the topic. After reading these documents I learnt a lot about how we should reflect on what we have learnt. It is very important to reflect on what you are learning, you're more likely to retain information if you reflect on it after. It allows you to assess how you are learning information, and how you can improve on how you learn. Reflective learners consider their motivation, attitudes and ideas towards learning.

Presentation

We were given the task of researching a topic that interested our group. We chose the topic Shark cage diving because it was something most of the group was interested in. We had to identify a number of things to ensure that the website was a secure and reliable website. These included the security of the website and the creator of the site. 

We were the assigned the task of evaluating another groups presentation to observe whether they had followed the rules and pointed out all the key aspects of the website. I decided to observe the group thats presentation consisted of Zorbing. Their presentation was very successful they provided plenty of information and pointed out all the key things needed to ensure that the website was genuine. They showed that the website was secure as you are able to purchase Zorbing sessions.

My First Blog - a little bit about myself

I have been in Uni for nearly a month now!
I'm going to Swansea Metropolitan University, Wales. Living the uni dream!
I currently live in Dyfed Halls on campus at Uni.
I am originally from Cardiff (I know, it's considered a swear word in Swansea!)
I studied GCSE's and A levels in Cardiff High School, after finishing A levels I came straight to Swansea Met. I have started studying Educational Studies nearly 4 weeks ago and I will be doing this course for 3 years. Hopefully after this, I will be doing a PGCE in primary teaching and becoming a primary school teacher.
